Turbulent Turtle
F-TR competitor
Rain causing the cancellation of the 900m portion for a competition day at the Worlds is a tradition. The same thing happened in Ottawa in 2017.
Well then...guess everyone just sat around and listened to Toto sing "Africa"?![]()
One can listen to that non stop until they're dead in the Namibian desert.Well then...guess everyone just sat around and listened to Toto sing "Africa"?![]()
Thank you very muchI can try to help with some of it. I'm sure I'll get it wrong.
This first week is the South Africa Open F-Class Championship.
Competitors with numbers instead of a country are individual competitors not affiliated to a national team. Think of it like the US F-Class Nationals where it's an open competition. But, the US team and others register to compete.
For Individual Competition each day there are 3 matches. Each match has a name, which has significance for the SA Bisley Union.
All matches are conducted under ICFRA rules.
The targets are ICFRA targets where instead of an X ring, it's a V, and the 10 ring is a 5.
Course of fire is 2 sighters, 15 shots for record. I believe the sighters are convertible. Firing is pair fire.
The first match of the day is at 700M, then 800M, then 900M For example,
Day 1
The Free State Cup was shot at 700M
The Municipal Cup 800M
The Dalrymple Cup 900M
Next week, 03/26-04/01 is the F-Class World Championships.
It will follow the same rules and format as the SA Open Championship.
