UrbanRifleman and B and L BarBQ

Fallow your dream with your wife's help and the Lord's guidance and you will go far.

That is EXACTLY what I plan to do. I already live a dream every day, because I have my beautiful loving wife right here next to me. She is wise and loves God with all her heart. The name of Jesus is in this house. And He is in charge, and all things happen by His will. Not mine. And it is marvelous in our sight.

I can make BBQ on my back porch. It's still B AND L BarBQ and Homemade Pies. :). It's really just a celebration of what we already have.

I do think having a shop on an old main street would be great. And people to meet. Where the phone is on the wall. And a cash register has a bell that chimes when you open the drawer.

Do you have a shop? I know you are local to me and a member of the same gun club

My shop is the back yard. My office is my reloading room in the house. Nothing fancy. But I do have a few local customers. No one from Tulsa or Red Castle seems to know I even exist. Ha!

I did put together a few Savage large shanks for my friend Pete last week.

You know what? I love that chime also!

Everyone’s looking for Mayberry, Brad. Hope you find it

We had a pharmacy here in which you could go to the back and get an ice cream or a float and set at a bar. I miss those little stores like Pollard's. All is not lost as we still have some good Business around here. A wonderful little coffee shop remains who really supports the first responders. We have a couple gas stations that refuse to sell alcohol or lottery tickets and one of those is our LGS. I'm not arguing right or wrong, I'm proud that they stand up for what they believe or or how they've been directed by the Lord in their personal business and continue to thrive.

I keep dreaming this dream, But I am afraid I have waited to long to go.....
DONT WAIT until next year your just another year older and less likely to go

I like the country along I-75 between Cinci and Louisville. But know nothing about the towns, taxes or land prices. Just thought it was a pretty ride.

Your plan sounds great. I love to cook pies too, but not so much sweet ones, just ones most people don't think of trying. Like tomato pies, shrimp and crab pies, onion pies, persimmon pies, duck and chicken pot pies.

Your first step in planning should be this: How to reserve some peaceful alone time for you and your wife.

Second pick an area that is not pursuing development, that's a hard one to accomplish. Crowds and growth will ruin your dream. Those people coming to eat should be your friends, people you develop relationships with, but I see you already know about that part.

Greet people with a smile, feed someone who needs a high spot in their life, and let everyone know what a precious and priceless gift Christ gave us.

I71 to Louisville splits off of 75 that leads to Lexington, and yes lots of absolutely stunning countryside to be seen on either trek.
I’m not a Native but I got back to KY as soon as I could!
