Upside Down Primer Removal

Every once in awhile I manage to seat a Primer the wrong way around.
I usually spend 10 seconds swearing and then just throw it into my “ Fecked Up “ box of assorted Brass , then continue seating the rest of my cases .
How do you guys go about removing the “ Live” but incorrectly seated Primer safely ?

Never happened to me. I make sure the proper side of the primer is going to go into the case. That is one thing I always check for.

Now that I've said that, I'm pretty sure there is an up side down primer in my near future.

Thanks Guys .

Just spent a few minutes sorting out 5 cases that have accumulated in the “ Fecked Up “ box over a number of years .
1 x 6mm ARC ( today’s mistake )
3 x .223
1 x 6.5 CM

I still have all my fingers , eyes and toes .
It took longer to change the Dies than actually do the job .

Cheers

Ken

Never seated one upside down in 50+ years
So far it's you and me posting ^^^ -

However, with a thread like this one -
like me ............. the odds are not in your (or my) favor now.

Good luck and keep the right side up, or is that right side down.

Oh Boy ! ..... I'm in trouble now !

In my early days with my dillon 550 and alot of 5.56 and 9mm I had this happen more than a few times, Pull the bullet and press out the primer never a bang at first I would put on hearing and eyes now just eyes just in case,, somehow (no help needed here) 2 made it to the range neither fired, Firing pin does not travel that far,

Figured it out when filling the tube make sure you dont flip one over NO distractions, Also an issue with crimped pockets the primer can stick then fall out flipping it, being real smart fiddling it in can seat side ways too., Another find out (learning again) Reduce the amount to just a few hundred at a time, Throw away the crimped crap !!

I really hated the press and primed only by hand , once I made my self really learn what the press should feel like no more issues in many years This press is going on 25 years now 22 flawless years other than maintenance
