UPS Changes to Gun Shipping Policies

Yes you can ship a scope as a private individual through ups. It’s on their site as not a firearm part. Rings? Not sure how they would twist that but if selling with the scope just list the scope and ship it.

Rings are metal fittings. Lol

A buddy of mine shipped a rifle UPS at a Staples store a couple of weeks ago. No problem.

FORUM BOSS: Folks, here is the current UPS policy. Read it yourself. It says Gun shipments are only allowed from Federal Licensees.

Quote: Shipments containing Firearm Products are accepted for transportation only from shippers who are federally licensed and have an approved UPS agreement for the transportation of Firearm Products

Today UPS shipped AR-15 Upper. No problem....and yes they knew what was in the package...and not lucky...they knew from the start.

This is getting out of control, if it is a legal product a carrier should be required to accept and make the delivery. They are regulated by government agencies supposedly for the benefit of the people and commerce. It is time to stop this nonsense. The anti-freedom crowd has bred and bought their way into the governing majority.

Look how the media has been corrupted. Should we just accept that we can now be governed by corporations (carriers and credit card companies) rather than a government founded upon the U.S. constitution? Is that what we want?

It is time to protest this backdoor, corporate censorship of our freedoms. An in their-face campaign. Stand up now or kneel later.

People, the current UPS policy is online. Do NOT make misleading assumptions because a buddy recently got away with something.

Here is the policy, from the UPS website, 4:25 pm 11/21/22:

Shipments containing Firearm Products are accepted for transportation only from shippers who are federally licensed and have an approved UPS agreement for the transportation of Firearm Products.

additionally:

UPS accepts packages containing Firearm Products for shipment only as a contractual service and only from Shippers who are licensed importers, licensed manufacturers, licensed dealers, or licensed collectors (as defined in Title 18, Chapter 44 of the United States Code) to authorized recipients, as outlined in the approved UPS agreement for the transportation of Firearm Products.

Exactly right. I voted, and lost again....

I will ditch UPS and FedEx. USPS doesn't pick up at businesses ( i think) so they are caught.

Also will try to do the same on incoming packages. It ain't about the $$$

Sent a resizing die to Forster last Friday at a UPS shipping store. Address said something about gunsmithing. She immediately asked if it was a gun part. Her story was that UPS is not FFL authorized to accept or ship gun parts from the public.

That was her explanation, she did ship the die when I explained it did not fit on any type of firearm.

I have visited with our postal service delivery guy, he laughs about delivering gun parts all the time.
