UPS Changes to Gun Shipping Policies

All it takes is one sting operation by the FBI, ATF or other 3 letter agency shipping an 80% lower, for a fine large enough that they would never make it up shipping parts. Now carefully read EO 14067. I'm from the government and I am here to protect you.
Are you saying i cant legally ship an 80% lower? This is company policy not law. I can ship a kid in junior high a gun barrel or a gun stock.

Ship my gun requires you go through an FFL .... And they have to be on their approved list. looks like no way to do it non FFL to FFL:(
No. They make you ship to an FFL. You drop the pistol at UPS. Not FFL to FFL.

And getting any FFL to ship to on the list is easy and every FFL should get on it now as it's the only way to do business.

I had to go to my local ups hub today (not a ups store) and i asked the girl about the new rule. She said she dont care whats in the pkg.

The people at my hub said they were disgusted by the new rule. They also said that if found out through some other means, they will confiscate the package.

I have been shipping at the same hub for years. They know what I do.

For the time being I'm going to try FedEx. I assume they are going to follow suit with a similar rule very soon.

From ship my gun.....

Our FFL list above allows customers to see what dealer licenses we already have on file in the area they need to ship a firearm. Preferred Dealersare listed in green and have agreed to accept all incoming ATF approved firearms transfers from ShipMyGun.com customers. When choosing a Preferred Dealer from our list, you do not need to contact the dealer to request approval of your firearm transfer.

If you choose a dealer from our list which is not currently listed as Preferred, we will be unable to process your shipment until we are able to contact the dealer and request their approval of the firearm transfer. To avoid delays, please either choose a Preferred Dealer from our list, or ask the dealer to Contact Us to become a Preferred Dealer.

Yes that is the list you ship to. Not ship from. And as I said if not on the list they can get on it. Just a small delay if not a preferred. Not that you can’t ship to them.

Not for parts.

Honestly? I don't see the firearm shipping thing as a big deal. Unless your local FFL won't ship for you. Which would not show a lot of solidarity would it?
Yeah parts is ok but having to ship from an FFL is a pain and more cost on top of it. Shouldn’t have to use them.

Oh, I agree.

We shouldn't have to DO ANY OF IT!!! INCLUDING THE FFL TRANSFER!!

But we still do.

Just watch Red Dawn. The FFL dealers are keeping great paperwork on who the "bad" people are and where to find them.

Somebody told an idiot at UPS that people were getting firearm parts and making “ghost guns” with only mail order parts. This is the result of all the disinformation the ill-informed media has been peddling for years.
You bet they did and it’s not surprising who did it.
