**UPDATE** Trickler control for Dandy (project)

That’s pretty cool! Are you going to make any to sell?
As I mentioned, I have 8 control boards left. I could sell as a unit or just my board (populated), the software and .stl file for the box if you have access to a 3D printer. Different ways to go. I need to get a cost from my friend who has the printer that did mine. Also what my populated board would cost.

Looks like all the components to make one of these comes to about $125 if anyone is interested. I'll put an ad in the classifieds if there is any interest.

I’m interested. I’m assuming that I will have to open up my Dandy unit in order to connect your controller, correct?

Correct. Not the actual trickler but the button box. I ordered a couple more sets of circuit boards (Arduino, display and display shield). Need to order a couple more things and make a modification to the box.

That sounds good to me. If you get ready to start listing them, please shoot me a PM or tag me in your thread, so that I don’t miss it.

Hi ItchyTF!

Great job!! I'm definitely interested!! The only problem is that I have a Sartorious Secura 124 scale (picked it for a REAL good price, so I couldn't pass it up). It has USB input, but I can get a USB to RS232 (9 or 25 pin) cable for it. Think it can be made to talk to your controller?

Have a great day and take care!

I decided to add another feature. In addition to controlling the Dandy with PWM (pulse width modulation), I thought I’d add the ability to control the On & Off times independently. So you’d be able to select either mode. I’m in the middle of coding that now in between other duties.

Added another feature. I really hope I'm done this time! Last page of instructions - the ability to select baud rate to match the scale. Without having to edit code.
Last 30 seconds or so of the updated video.
