Unertl Identification?

I purchased this scope a few years back and was going to mount it on one of my target 22's. However I believe this scope is only a ten power and might be better suited for a larger caliber. It came with massive scope mounts that I have been unable to identify but they extremely well made. If anyone can identify this scope and/or mounts I would be thankful. I'm sending some photos.

Addition to original post.

I would also like to know how rugged this scope is? Could you mount this scope on a high power rifle such as 30.06?

Great scope, very clear. Only issue with an 06, you better have a doctor on retainer. With that caliber and relatively short eye relief, your gonna get "scoped" and open up your eyebrow more than once.
It is, however, valuable, probably $500-$600 considering lack of OEM mounts. Sell it and buy something with eye relief.

Don't worry about getting scoped. Many a .30-06 & .300 H&H rounds were fired with these. For centerfire, slightly compress the recoil spring before locking it. When the rifle recoils, the scope goes forward, completely compressing the spring and away from the eye. Sounds scary, but works. These were the only type target scopes we had at one time and shot my 1st any sight 1000 yd. match with a similar one on a '06 Win. 54 Target. If you decide to use it on a rimfire, compress the spring 1/2 of its free length and that will keep it returned to zero (per Unertl's instructions).

looks to be a mitchell optics scope. IIRC there were 2 different size objectives, 1 had a 2" objective and the 2nd had a 2 1/2 objective. There may have also been a 1 1/2.

The mounts look like Mitchel mounts. Yes the scope is a tough one.

Thank you for your information. I knew the Unertl was a good scope but thought the heavy recoil from a large caliber might shake the lenses loose. I didn't think too much about the heavy spring but I can see how that might eliminate the "scoping" problem.

A unertl will handle anything built like a Tank I shot one on a 308 Baer shooting 250 SMKs at 2950
