UltraSonic Procedure

New to the UltraSonic process. Before I plug this thing in I'm wondering how some of you experienced guys dry the cleaned brass. Air drying would take far too long so I'm thinking oven drying would be more suitable but at what temperature?

I have some aluminum mesh cooking "trays". I have no idea of their original purpose, possibly cookie cooling. Shake excess water out of cases. Load up the trays, put wood blocks under either end, set a small fan near them. Another option, put the "trays" in the oven on a very low setting, I use about 150 or 175 F for 1-2 hrs. I am certain higher temps could be used, but I am not racing. I believe that you will not alter the brass until you get into the 450 F area, but why push it?

I dry at 65 c for about 1 and a half hours in fanforced oven in foil trays I also put them in pillow case after rinsing in hot clean water and swing them around a few times to get rid of excess water first.
After trying different things I have found that keeping the cases hot all the way through the proscess to the oven gives shinier brass.
Boil Water put in sonic cleaner,
Couple tablespoones of citric acid,
480 second cycle more if needed,
Drain rinse in hot water and one more cycle in cleaner with straight boiled water,
Then drain put cases in pillow case and swing around then straight in hot oven the cases will remain warm all the way to the oven works for me.
And dont over crowd your cleaner you will get better results doing in smaller batches I do 24 cases at a time my cleaner is 2.5ltr I just ordered a 30ltr cleaner to do brass in beakers less solution use and cleaner wont need rinsing an average beaker will hold 18 308 cases the 30ltr cleaner will houl around 10 to 12 beakers .

Cheers Trev.

After I rinse in distilled water and then drain, all I do is blow out the cases with compressed air. Works fine, no spots. Plus it gave me the excuse to buy an air compressor. ;D
