Ultrasonic cleaning

I have just tried the ultrasonic cleaning process and like it a lot. My question is how are some of the ways you dry the brass.
THANKS

Hello, I place my cases neck down in my MTM ammo box and let gravity do the work overnight. Haven't had any problems yet.

I just take the whole bunch of wet cases and roll them in a towel for a minute, then put them in a wicker basket over the air vent on the floor overnight. Dries them right out fine.

I rinse thoroughly with hot water and then a last rinse with distilled water,no water spots) before blowing out with air nozzle. 100 cases takes about 10 minutes and they dry and ready to load.

Depends on how ambitious I am.

If I'm not in a hurry I just lay them on a towel overnite then put them in an ammo box neck down until I'm ready to load.

If I'm in a bit more of a hurry I use compressed air but from a SCUBA tank. Air used in diving is filtered for a few things, one being moisture, very dry air.

I'm not sure about home compressors but the couple machine shops I've worked at, the air line that runs throught the shop will expel an oil residue, You probably wouldn't want that on the inside of your casings. You don't get that with diving gas.

Most of the smaller home compressors today are of the oiless variety. The literature will state that. The larger piston pump industrial compressors are oil lubricated and consequently will discharge some oil in the air hoses and lines. Many shops use sophisticated filtering and drying systems to overcome this problem, but not all of them do.

I'm fortunate to live in a dry climate. In the spring and summer months I can lay my cases on an old pizza pan out in the mid day sun and they're bone dry after about ten minutes when the temperature's running in the ninteys or hundreds. I use a Wagner heat gun to evaporate the water in the colder months. It's much hotter than the ol' ladies hair dryer and only cost me about twenty bucks,IIRC) at Wally's.
