Turning To Air Guns

Is anyone getting feed up with ammo and component shortages and prices and turning to air guns?

I see more air guns each time I visit my local range and the participation in the air gun matches is growing by leaps and bounds.

Prices and shortages ain't bothering me. I was a Boy Scout.

I've had numerous airguns throughout my life. Today I only have one, only need one. I have a tuned Weihrauch model 80 in .22. I'm well stocked with HN FTT pellets. I shoot it almost every day. My stock never dips below 50 tins.

Go to Rimfire and see the thread running as TX200

I've had my RWS54 right at a year and besides ammo being lower cost, available, and no reloading required; like a 22lr the air rifle is a great trainer. Much longer barrel time accentuates negatives associated with trigger pull and follow through, plus watching the wind much closer. My Fclass performance improved as a result. But it seems most air rifles have stocks unlike centerfire, and I don't understand the rationale of many designs. Wish I had "pulled the trigger sooner"!

Not to condemn air rifles or there shooters, but it seems like we would just be waving the white flag and giving the anti-gunners their way.
Just the opposite, I hope I didn’t insinuate that I was giving up and waving a white flag. I will still practice and compete with my center fire match rifles. Just not as often. Instead of shooting a $100 of ammo I can have fun and build my skills for less than $5.

PCP are scary accurate. I just don't want to be held hostage to needing a bottle of air. Just a tin of pellets is what I want. But, springers offer a challenge to shoot not everyone is interested in. Still, no cleaning and cartridge reloading is a huge plus. Maybe down the road I will need a PCP because I can't cosk the springer any longer. Thats a nice looking rifle Rook 6.
