Tuning surprize

Shot yesterday at 200 yds. but my previous tuner setting wasn’t working as the temp and humidity conditions were significantly different from my previous outing. Target #1 was the base line from my previous testing…whoa what happened? Target #2 (3) shots was shot a new setting…..some better. Group #3 (2) shots at the bottom also didn’t work. At this point, I dialed my scope to center the bull (sighter) as I was running out of target space and reset the tuner to a 4th setting @ #4.1….getting close. Then on #4.2 made the last “fine tweak” trying to improve on #4.1.
The whole purpose of this post, is I noticed when I got home that the “splat” ring got smaller each time the tune improved….visually you can see the improvement in bullet stability on each target. I wonder if you can tune to no “splat”?

Assuming the red dot was the point of aim you can see the tune went both horizontal and vertical. they also right and left up and down from the point of aim. The spatter got smaller when you got near a tune.
I never thought about the spatter but you can see the holes in the target get smaller.
Were all the load were the same.? Larry

Larry,
The scope was changed for groups 4.1 & 4.2. and I held on the dot...there were 10-15 MPH winds. Dusty, you are way ahead of me. Using the Shoot-N-C Target only once in while, this was the first time I noticed the improvement in bullet stability at the bullet hole. Obviously, the group size says the tune is better, this is just additional confirmation. I am working on a threaded tuner that will also be able to provide increased consistency in adjustments.
