Tuning a beam scale

I want to get back to using a beam scale and I have read somewhere that I may be able to get a beam scale tuned to perform better, anyone know someone who does this?
Thanks,

What if you could have a beam scale that was sensitive to a single kernel of powder? No drift, no cell phone disturbance, no barometric pressure changes etc. If interested, please contact me. I tune beam scales.

Scott does good work; m Ohaus 10-10 is now is accurate and very repeatable. And its accurate to the single kernel of powder.

I bought a tuned scale from Scott. What everybody says is true.

You'll end up wishing your trickler was more precise.

+5 for Scott, very nice work indeed.

I was thinking the same thing. Now I am looking to get a Omega power trickler. hehe

My poor ancient Ohaus scale was giving me problems until I looked at the knife edges on the balance arm. It takes a good bit of magnification to see, but they were definitely dull. A few seconds with a fine diamond hone restored the edges and the sensitivity. One kernel of IMR SR-5749 causes readable deflection now. Reloader 15 shows less deflection but the kernels are smaller. I'm happy with the results. You might want to have a look at the agates while you're at it. They get gunk in the notches. Lacquer thinner gets it out.
