hiIs there a reason tuners are clamp on vs threaded on?
BTW thank you HI-NV Shooter. Simple sution that did not occur to me until your post.
You are welcome, I think with a rim fire barrel a lot of them depend on the slugged finished length as most smiths look for the tight spot to crown at. so by turning down and threading you may loose that tight spot and possible accuracy. Is there a reason tuners are clamp on vs threaded on?

Is this a Vudoo? I know of a shooter who is currently using a Harrell and it is clamped over a thread protector on a 20" barrel which is on a Vudoo. he is running some test with a light weight tuner and getting some pretty good results, from what he tells me.The Proof barrel I ordered is threaded both ends and is a pre-fit. Many barrels come threaded and I suspect that is what the original post is looking for.
There is a shooter at the club I shoot at that has a clamp on Harrell on his 6 PPC first time I saw the rifle I thought it was a rim firehi
what I have seen is clamp on equals rimfire rifles,
thread on equals centerfire rifles
but might be a exception out there.
Yes it is a Vudoo
I have a Vudoo that has a 20" Kukri barrel on it and added a Harrells tuner. I bought the rifle with a threaded barrel so that if I ever wanted to put a suppressor on it, it would be set to go. When I bought the tuner, I had Harrells send a piece that was bored out to the proper size and threaded to go on the barrel. Then I took it to a machinist near here where for $20 they cut it down and sized it to the proper outer diameter for the tuner to go right over it. No Problems.
Out of curiosity what is the barrel length and barrel profile (diameter)I have a tuner coming in today for my Vudoo.
