tumbling media

OK...I got to the pet store and found the lizard bedding and there were about 6 different kinds and they all looked to be very fine granules and several different colors. What am I to choose here? what am I to be looking for? Are there differences or there or not? The granules appeared to be at least half the size of my current crushed walnut that I'm using. Like ragged grains of sand.
I liked the dryer sheet tip, thanks.

The original suggestion by another poster was to use a brand of lizard bedding called Zilla, but that was not in stock so I ended up with the bird litter. It was still walnut shells and it did work, but the grains did seem pretty fine. I haven't tried the dryer sheet yet but it does sound like a great idea.

I want to get feedback from as many reloaders as possible an the good and bad experiences they have had with stainless shot tumbling media. Call it R&D on my part as I am a vendor and looking for ways to build a better mousetrap, so to speak. Feel free to chime in
