Truly accurate ar15

Windham weaponry Varmint exterminator.

Sub 1/2 moa groups at 100 yds, hand loads 75 gr amax.

as it came from the factory

My first fclass rifle. Very accurate for what you get, just blows around alot once you get out to 600, but that's cartridge/bullet not rifle. Still have it. Drew

I have a RR PP with a 20" SS BB. It will shoot everything you throw at it at sub 1.25 moa. It will shoot my hand loads at 1" or better. These are all at mag length. If I signal load my hand loads that are mag length its sub MOA for 10 shot groups or more. If I set the bullets out longer then my mag will accept its .75 or better. This is all with a horrible trigger.
When I bought the rifle I broke it in using Final Finish. I am very happy with it as a user coyote rifle. I believe with the right smith and a better custom trigger it would shoot .5

This is my AR-15 .223 Varmint rifle.
White Oak 24" Varmint barrel 1 in 12 twist
White Oak Varmint float tube
DPMS Low Pro upper
Aero Precision Lower
Geissele High Speed NM trigger
MagPull PRS stock
JP Silent Capture recoil system
JP bolt and JP low mass bolt carrier
Vortex Viper PST Gen II 5-25 x 50 FFP scope

Groups are all 100 yards with magazine length rounds.

1) I have an ar15 that shoots in the low 2's occasionally high 1's
2) hart 1/14 1.+" plus at the muzzle, custom min spec short throat reamer, 52/53 match bullets in match sorted brass, single fed, does have gas system in place.
3) it is a br target rifle/pd rifle. not fussy at all it does have a 3" flat forearm and a flat on the bottom of the butt stock
it actually shoots 50gr vmax production bullets very well as in .2 also
it is nearly 20years old

I'd like to see what your rifle that steadily delivers 1/4" MOA groups looks like. Mine shoots 5/8" to 3/4" 5 shot groups. (3 shot groups are silly to me, and I never shoot them)You show me yours, and I'll show you mine! lol.

This started life as a RRA 20" National Match rifle. I never could get it to shoot better then 3/4" even with a $400 WhiteOak SDM barrel. So I ditched the SDM barrel and dumped the A2 buttstock. I had the original 1/8 twist RRA barrel cut to 18" and lathed down by ADCO. I duracoated the stainless barrel to black, installed a Daniel Defense Rail, LMT sopmod, Magpul Grip, & Gieselle Trigger. It shoots 60gr HP best. It has a quick Detachable LaRue mount, and I enjoy shooting it with the fold up iron sights.

I do three shot groups so I can say my rifles are 1/4 MOA. That fourth shot gets me every time. ;)

I gave up trying to get 1/4" to 1/2" 5 shot groups with my two AR15's and my one AR in 308. The best consistent 5 shot groups I can get with my 18.5" light barreled 308 is 1". I have a problem owning AR rifles that don't look of typical military pattern. If I own them, they must have an A2 sight, flash suppressor, lighter weight barrel, BUIS, ejection port cover, and preferably a collapsible stock. All my AR's have these features, and none help to minimize group size. Super accurate AR's lack many of these features and I just can't get myself to buy them. Yes, it's just my particular requirement..... and personal hang-up I suppose. LOL

Here's the DPMS 24" Panther that I converted to an 18.5" shooter with a light chrome lined Fulton barrel. Shoots consistent 1" 5 shot groups, sometimes 3/4" groups with Hornady 168BTHP and IMR4064;

I tried a heavy 18.5" Krieger oberle barrel in that gun which shot only a little better then the original 24" DPMS Panther barrel. So I finally said "screw it!" and reconfigured the whole rifle to how I wanted.

Robert Whitley knows what it takes to build.an accurate AR. Even then it won't beat a bolt gun. They really beat up the brass.

Stock except for a Geissele ssa-e trigger, RRA Predator Pursuit 20" 1 in 8 223. From Monday morning at the range at 300 yards. 66* with a 5mph wind. Last 5 shots on the gongs.... first 3 on the 4" and the last 2 on the one 1". In the hands of a capable shooter I think it could do better.

It's criminal what photobucket had done to everyone's photos....essentially destroy them while seeking ransom! Do you have the original photo so we can get a better idea what your rifle looks like? You probably also know that desk computers have lighting, contrast, sharpness controls as seen in my two identical photos;
