Just make sure you have a lathe with sufficient mass and weight. More than one person has had chatter issues with the overhang of the TBAS unit itself. Good luck!

I have a sliding track and hoist in place for the my 12" 3jaw Buck and 16" 4jaw chucks, but I can lift the TBAS/6" Gator/ D1-6 adapter assembly in place by hand.

It's pretty easy to build a plywood sled to set them on while you get them started if you're dealing with a threaded spindle.

That sliding track sounds like a good idea, I still heft the 14" 4 jaw onto the lathe from the floor using arms, but I do put some plywood on the bed.
This is about as heavy as the 14" 4 jaw, 10" adjust tru, but I'm pretty sure they've gained weight in the last couple of years.

It's all a matter of leverage.

For some reason I can't stand as close to the lathe as I used to and need to lean over instead....
