Trimming cases on the RCBS trim mate

Is anyone using the Lee cutter,90110) on their RCBS Trim Mate?

Viewed this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d81l62J1VmI

The cutter is case hardened and I can't drill it.
Lee will make up a group order if we have 25 or more interested.

Anyone using the Trim Mate who might be interested?

I have the Trim Mate and have been very frustrated with the results it has given. I purchased a bunch of surplus cases, lubed and then full length sized them. I then used the RCBS bench trimmer to trim to length and square the case mouth. The trouble was, when I went to remove the burr on the outside and inside of the case, the chamfer tool would not do it- the cutter either is not sharp or the angle too steep? I went back to the Lee hand held chamfer tool for the case mouth. I did notice that the RCBS trimmer would work on non- trimmed brass quite well, but if you trim your cases...not so great. After 1000 peices of .308, I was ready to chuck the thing out the window!

This might be cool addition to have, put me down for one.

I just went to a machine shop in San Clemente this morning. For $20 or $40 they will tap & drill the cutter. I then called RCBS and they will mail me two set screws with the 8:32 thread.

So...hopefully this will solve my problem. I will keep track of responders for the 'group buy' with Lee.

What city do you live in.

That Lee cutter is a neat idea, but I'm happy with my separate trimmer.

Sapper299, you might want to look into getting a VLD inside chamfer bit. I have one on my Trim Mate and it makes the chamfering very easy.
