Trimming brass to same length?

No, don't make them all the shortest. There is absolutely no good reason to do that.
The further your case mouths are from chamber end, the faster/higher carbon rings can grow.
Some depends on your pressure, tension (grip), and neck clearance. What you can manage in trim length depends on the cartridge and your sizing of cases. Every bit of this results of your choices.

Stay within 5thou of chamber end, 10thou max, and it's less likely you'll ever need concern yourself about a carbon ring. Some might suggest this is too difficult or impossible, but it only follows bad or no planning on their part.
With lapua standards the shortest is still in specks. I don't speak as an authority I speak on my experiences.
Keep it clean and no carbon ring problem. However ive not experienced a problem so I'll stay with the system I have.

Lapua standards, SAAMI standards,, nothing to do with what you have locally..
The whole benefit of reloading is that YOU control everything.
Neither Lapua, nor SAAMI, will help you make YOUR gun shoot it's best. So break free of assumptions and learn and understand what you have & what you're doing with it.

What about cases that landed on the mouth on the bench or stones? Trimming and chamfering helps to make them nice again. I size my cases real hard and they grow about .005 every time. Matt
Some grow more than others, shoulder angle has something to do with it whereas more is less.

I finally trimmed my Brass yesterday, didn't need it however I wanted to try out the Wilson at least even them all out , what a difference from the old RCBS trimmer"
The Wilson certainly cuts a nice square edge...just wish they’d design a 3 way cutter for it...I’d like to try the Giraud but at around 1k delivered it’s on the ‘wait for now’ list...
