Triggers -- What is Your Preference?

The Bix and Andy in my Kelbly is a pretty awesome trigger. My first experience with one but very impressed with it. Jewels have always been very good

A "reworked" Bix is my preference. Like a Jewell they need to be tweaked for top performance and reliability. They do not need cleaning and do not fail when done right. Theres more to a good rifle than assembling parts. I cant get a Jewell as good as I can get a Bix. But I still use plenty of Jewells, they are great.

My Jewell's are great, as is my one Shillen. Other shooters I know love their Bix&Andy's, but I have no experience with one or with a Trigger Tech.

They are all better than the factory stuff I used for the first 35 years of hunting before I knew or afford any better.

Out of the three I have only owned the Jewell and own several of those. Very happy with them all. As mentioned above I'm sure all listed are superior to factory stuff.

I have Bix’n Andy and Jewell. My favorite is the BnA TacSport PRO with the safety stop pin removed. I run the BnA and Jewels on my hunting rifles at about 6 oz. pull weight, one Jewell I have on a target rifle is set around 2 oz. My Jewell triggers have equally pleasant pull weight and consistency.

They are all mounted on hunting and varmint rifles, and one target rifle. I have had no issues with reliability on any Jewell or BnA. But I don’t treat my stuff like junk either and I do a full cleaning maintenance on my rifles every year where I take them apart. I do have more confidence in the field with the BnA TacSport for reliability since it is encased in a weatherproof housing and does not require any lubrication for optimal performance. But the Jewells have never failed me in the field.

Ive played with TT’s on other peoples rifles and I don’t like them. Not that they are bad triggers in any way, I just prefer the pull of a Jewell or BnA.

I use the Trigger Tech Diamond on 1 rifle and if it would go down to 1-2 oz.
that would be hard to beat. (4 oz is the lowest) Really nice feel, or should
I say lack of.
The Jewell is nice for that it goes to 1.5 oz and it works.

I have Bix’s, Flavio Fare’s, and Jewells. When the first two are operable they are great but, in my BRMXD actions they have malfunctioned at the most inopportune moments. I switched to Jewells and zero malfunctioning since. I think the European triggers are great but more prone to issues in the get contaminated. For F-class we sometimes shoot in dusty conditions so reliability in those circumstances is crucial.
