Timney's have always worked for me. Just ordered a Calvin Elite with my Vudoo. The Vudoo guys can own anything made today. They chose / recommend Calvin Elite.

That said, I just also ordered a Trigger Tech for my 224 V. So I'll check those out too.

I use the Bix & Andy trigger on all my actions. What I like is the ability to shoot benchrest in both RF & CF with less than a .5 oz trigger pull. Not for everybody, but it is what I am used to. Shooting both in the ARA & PSL, most are shooting with a 1pc rest free recoil...you just tap the trigger. In CF, shooting mostly 6 Dasher I just rest my finger on the front of the trigger guard until I am ready to bump the trigger.

Is this for a hunting rifle or competition rifle? What pull weight are you looking for? Lastly is price a major consideration?

For bench competition I prefer the Bix & Andy slightly over the Jewel. Reason: The Bix & andy seems more consistent and is enclosed to prohibit dust etc. (I'm planning to try a Trigger Tech Diamond in a month or so on my bench rifle(s) as they sure feel less than the advertised 4oz lower limit to me and seem very consistent and crisp with no creep at all)

For crisp, no creep, fully enclosed, easy to adjust, and consistent pull weight definitely the Trigger Tech, followed by the B&A.

For lower cost, the Jewel, then the Trigger Tech, then the B&A.

If dust, dirt, etc is even a remote possibility (ie hunting), Trigger Tech, B&A, then Jewel a distant 3rd.

Triggers are a matter of personal preference so much so that you should try before you buy if possible, or be prepared to buy and sell if you don't like what you choose the first time around. JME. WD

I have Timney 510, Timney CE, B&A Tac Sport Pro, TT Diamond Flat Shoe. I prefer the TT the most. I don't like the side to side slop in the B&A and I don't like how much over-travel it has. Timneys are fine but the TT is better.

The B&A was also a pain in the ass because it has this stupid extra safety protrusion pin that requires the safety to be pushed out to clear the pin but my Manners stock did not have enough clearance to do that so I had to have my smith grind down the pin. It was also very difficult to set a good trigger weight on the B&A, the lowest my smith could get it was 6 oz, anything lower and you had to jack up the sear engagement to stop it from slam firing and then it had a ton of creep. Based on the measurements I took, the top sear was the correct one for the Defiance Deviant action. But my one experience is anecdotal, a lot of guys seem to love the B&A.

Flat vs Curved is personal preference but I am really liking the TT Flat shoe so far.

Bix’n Andy Rem700 Benchrest Trigger – No Safety

Doesn’t get better.
Crisp and consistent.

Also, to add:
I have not found a trigger that can go as light as the B&A trigger and be 100% reliable. Not finicky. You can slam bolt close and not have to worry.
