I would agree with you on SWFA they have to make money and re sell for a reasonable price. From my experience SWFA attempts to make from $75-$100 on a used scope sale. SWFA is a decent business and they need to keep their doors open, lights on, pay taxes, and pay employees. My only complaint with SWFA is that they had one of my scopes for sale prior to me being paid, so technically they were selling property that SWFA did not own - our deal was not consummated at that point. I did get the payment, so my complaint might be regarded as trivia. We live in a free market economy - so, should you get a good deal go for it and save another $15-$20 for UPS shipping including insurance.
Some good but peculiar or unpopular scopes on the SWFA "Sample List" often appear to be "orphan" scopes being on sale for extended periods but I have never attempted to get SWFA to make a price exception.
Generally, I am satisfied with SWFA and have been dealing with them for over 20 years. You may be assured that SWFA will not cheat you.
