Torque wrenches

I doubt the Fat Wrench is that far off. It is not a precision instrument like what is used in high end manufacturing, but the error is probably less than 2%. Mine came with a calibration certificate that measured accuracy at 10, 30 and 60 in-lbs. The only inaccuracy was at 60, where the actual torque was 61 in-lbs.

For something compact - Fix-it-sticks or the Fat Wrench. I'm more old school and purchased a 1/4 in drive bicycle torque wrench. Plenty of leverage for the torque we use. I also have a smallish 1/4 drive socket/screw/torx/hex (albeit metric) set from a local discount store. Both live in my range tool set in the car.
I had bought one of the Wheeler Fat Wrenches a number of years back and was never able to use it for anything as none of the bits fit any of my scope mount screws or anything else. Does anyone know if they sell (or where to get) additional bits for those things?

Edit: I just found that they now have an additional set of bits!

I have a Klein "torque Limiting Screwdriver" model 57035 that I got for King Innovation Alumiconn Aluminum to Copper Lugs (King was very specific about the torque). It comes with a calibration sheet. It is guaranteed +/- 6.0 %. According to the calibration it is within 3% at 8.000 In.Lb, 1% at 22.000 In.Lb and 2% at 36.000 In.Lb.
Klein doesn't make this model any longer but they have a Model 57032 (I think) at around $300.00.

I went ahead and ordered a Fat Wrench, but goyt an unexpected surprise! I ordered it from Midway because their promos brag about orders being shipped same day. Well, that was great till I completed the order and then it said the expected delivery date is 2 weeks from now!

Every time I get that 2 week thing the order comes in like 5-7 days! Hope it is the same for you.

Even funnier that Midway and Wheeler are both in the same town, or at least they used to be. Must be an inventory issue.

I take back everything I ever said about Midway (not). Anyway I just got an email "Order Shipped" UPS. I wonder if that 2 week message has something to do with UPS. I see they are laying off 12,000 workers.

Aren't they using 1/4" hex base bits? Pretty standard stuff.
