A day which we will live in infamy
Well finally got out with my loads or imr4007sc.
I started out at 47gr and loaded: 48, 48.2, 48.5, 48.8 and 49.1 all at 2.790" all the 48-49.1 were 3 shot groups
The 47 was a load I tried but the wind got me. The 5 shot clustered about 5/8" all together.
The 48gr load
The 48.5gr load
The 48.2 opened about 3/4"
The 48.8 did the same and the 49.1 which flattened primer and blew one was about 1"
Here's the brass
It's 49.1 on the left and 48 on the right. The two sets with the mouth up are the ones that shot the pics, the 48.5 and the 48gr
I'm gonna charge a few up at the 48.5 and move in and out .005 and see how they do. I'll check with my crony next time out.
Again this is through a savage f/tr 308 30" barrel. Shot off a sled unweighted. Was about 34 degrees and at 4200' elevation
