Too Much Resistance While Full Sizing

Why would a manufacturer use a reamer that's bigger than spec. ? Funny how using the Redding die doesn't have a problem. Makes me think I know where the problem is. Use the Redding die and save a bunch of money trying to cure a problem that doesn’t exist.
Agreed. It's like saying that both the chamber and the redding die were identically (or close) screwed up. What are the odds of that?

Perhaps the Redding die is designed for SAAMI standard chambers and the SAC die is designed for minimal chambers?

Donno. Just a guess.

Why are 2 brands of shoes marked 'Size 10' and one hurts your feet and the other is fine?

Tolerances.

I should also add that sometimes the screw up is in the machining and sometimes it's in the engineering end. IOW, that's how everything would be in "spec" but not really work great. Not intended to bash anybody but that's just life when we start splitting hairs into tenths. Maybe the chamber is on the big side and the SAC die is on the small end, and both in "spec". Bottom line, doesn't sound like the two gee and haw well together, for whatever reason. In the old days, the trouble maker got took out back for a dirt nap.

Yes, that's frowned upon now days.

Pity. Some really need a nap.

I suspect both are in spec, but one is near or at minimum and one is near or at maximum.

I find that to be the case fairly often and I don't see a whole lot of volume.

Either I've got shit for luck or this happens A LOT.

A good example of not so exemplary engineering is that SAAMI specs on a few cartridges state a longer max dimension for brass than their own minimum specs for the chamber length. Ive run into that one a couple of times with bbl chambering. Go figure..and tell me how that's supposed to work. Lol! I'd say that alone makes a die maker have nightmares.
