Timney Tactical Trigger? GOT IT

Anyone have experience with the Timney Tactical trigger? According to the literature it is a 6-10oz trigger. I'm thinking of this for my 223 FTR application.

Based on positive feedback I ordered directly from Timney and it arrived in a few days, preset at 6oz. Installed it in a few minutes with no issues. After a bit of dry firing, I like it so far! No creep, and a clean/crisp break. Excellent for $145. Should get it out to the range in a couple of weeks if the rain ever stops here.

Re: Timney Tactical Trigger?

I had one on my 223 FTR rifle (sold the rifle recently). It was a good trigger and gave me good service. I changed it out for a Jewell Benchrest and went back to the Timney. Sold the Jewell. Mine was set for 8 oz.

Re: Timney Tactical Trigger?

Been using one for years in FTR, absolutely love the knurled cylinder, great feel. Love the front-back adjustability, lets me put it where my finger wants it. Turned weight on mine down to about 6 oz and still can get all over it without ADing.

Had to carve a bit of material off the top of the cylinder for clearance. Filed a flat spot on the adjustment rod to give the 0.050" adjustment set screw something to bite on.

Have had one for 3 years now and have been very happy with it. Set to 8 oz, and is very crisp. Earlier on I found the trigger bar coming loose from the adjustment rod, but some Loctite fixed that right up.

Re: Timney Tactical Trigger?

Get a match 2 stage Trigger from xtreme shooting products. I have one in my F/TR rifle with over 3000 rounds on it with any issues at all. I've used Jewell and Timney both, and I also have both of the tactical triggers they sell in both single and two stage. Absolutely the best triggers I've used.
