Timney replacement for Jewell?

Anyone tried the Timney Hit trigger for the Remington 700? Has bolt release and safety and 8 ounce pull. The lever looks a bit straighter than the Jewell. I like that. Midway USA is out of stock already.

It felt ok, but it had some creep in it. Not terrible. I wish the TT Diamond had a more narrow shoe.

Bix is as good as a jewel, but they require a lot of maintenance and I don’t like that.

Not really sure if Timney still makes the same Calvin Elite model that I have on my Rem M-7 Hunter but it works really well. I did some adjusting on it when I first put it on the rifle and have not bothered it since. I think it is @ 2 lb. or less pull but have not actually checked it with a pull gauge.

would you please expand on the B&A needing a lot of maintenance? I got a shilen, couldnt get a jewell, and it developed a bit of creep, got it adjusted out ok for now. If it dont work out, I'm going with the Sidhe.

They need to be opened up and cleaned regularly, and with each cleaning, you must reset the sear engagement. Bullet Central has a series of videos on this.

It’s not something I’m interested in.
