Time to get out of Dodge!

Some of our politicians want to put a limit on the amount of factory ammo you can buy, but no law has been passed yet to that to occur, as of now. AR's can be bought, but need to be Ca compliant. There are also political wants/laws to limit the number of weapons bought per month and back ground checks on buying ammo along with video recording of the purchase and a permit from the state, but again, not signed into law, as of yet. But the way Ca politicians are, it may well come to be. And to think criminals will not be effected one bit by any of that.

Ok thanks for explaining. Good to know it’s just politicians wishful thinking at the moment and not an actual law. When I see these “laws” in the news they make them sound like they were already passed with zero issues. The news makes it sound like 100% of that’s states population welcomed those insane laws. I just assumed you guys needed permits to wipe your own butts.

Getting a permit to wipe your butt is fairly straightforward, if you can produce the proper documentation, and take the class. The 5 day wait is kind of a bitch, though.

Suggest you take a look around Lewistown, Montana. I have a buddy that lives there and there are several folks that have airstrips in their front yard. He is one of them. Mountains are not far and nice long flat safe airstrips and mountains don't really go together all that well anyways. Last I heard Montana is in the black tax surplus wise and it is one of the few states left that isn't puked up with communist, liberal, left wing, tree huggin, socialist democrat, libtard snowflake millennials.

50 years ago my wife's mother told her that "someday the government will tell us where we can and can't take a $hit. They all ready do, try building an outhouse on your camp site in WI. At least in my County they will prevent you from doing so.

You’re very wrong about the political flavor of the state. Bozeman , Butte , Missoula , and Helena are all going communist fast and they control the state as the population centers. Montana will be a People’s Democratic Republic soon with the influx from California combined with the native useful idiots in places like Butte .

We always enjoy stopping in Casper, I can see the appeal of it. Not too big or small, with nice old downtown. Things were really hopping on last trip through, maybe pickup in the oilfield?

Yes, I like the downtown as well. Rumor has it that the oil patch is about to ramp up.

How much snow do you get there?

So far, frequent snow but still haven't seen anything over about three inches. But this is my first winter here and the locals tell me the worst has yet to come. No biggie.
