Tikka T3x trigger guard issue

Having issues with trigger guard not lining up with pillars. I drilled my holes then slid the pillars in and all looked good but when the trigger guard is placed in the stock the rear is off. I put tape on my action screws so they slide in the pillars, it looks like the washer in the trigger guard isn’t centered. I sanded the inlet for the guard for clearance and helped a little. I’ll post some pictures later.

Factory bottom, when I put the rear action screw in it would go down at an angle. There’s a lot of space in the pillar for the screw to move around to catch the threads.

Is the action properly seated on the factory "recoil lug" in the stock ? Mine are quite tight.

I put another trigger guard on from my other tikka and it’s the same way. Every time I would disassemble the rifle It was a bear to get the action out of stock.

If two trigger guards have the same result, I think your “looks good” pillar installation might be off. Getting the action out of the stock being a “bear”? I’m not sure what to say about that. One man’s bear is another man’s good tight fit.

I have some real long screws with no head on them and a screw driver slot. I screw them in the action, then when I epoxy the pillars I set the action in the stock with the screws sticking out to ensure alignment. Think I bought them from someone on a forum almost 20 years ago. If an action is stuck its a good place to hit it with a mallet too.

Id give you a new tikka stock to try again if you lived near me.

FYI. I bedded the plastic stock and and it did nothing. It was a total waste of time. I have had it make dramatic improvements on others.
