Tikka T3 in 6br??

I've got a T3 with a Bartlein bbl in 6br as well as the Rem 700 shooting 70-90g projectiles in both.

Mag feeding in the T3 is not ideal. I tried both 308 and 223 mags and found the 223 mag best but need ot open up the feed lips a bit to get the rim sitting higher.

Fast and slow feeding is fine, but its when you pause half way through a stroke that it all hangs up (especially with the shorter projectiles) as the rear of the top round slides down the shoulder of the case underneath, which then tips the nose up and it wedges in the top corner of the chamber/recerver.

The other issue is single feeding...this is a real PITA. If you drop a loaded round in the reciever, it wont feed into the chamber as the tip hits on the front face of the barrel just below the chamber. Some plastic tipped projectiles will "slip" up into the chamber and feed, but hollow tips just hit the face and stop dead. So you have to hold the case by the rear, and hand feet the tip into the chamber, which is fiddly with the stupid narrow small loading port!.

Now my Rem 700 has a completely different set of issues, but I have manages to work through all of those, and now have a superbly mag feeding and easy single feeding walkaround rifle, that dosnt shoot as good as the T3!...beginning to question the bartlein barrel on it now!

T3 also had issues with blown primers, which I solved by adding a samll packer under the firing pin to increase the spring tension.

Although the T3 has a super smooth bolt, I wouldnt do another 6Br on one.

Cheers
