Infrequent Shooter

about to own a m595, varmint. I am 90% sure I am going to rebarrel to 6mm or 25. ideas for cartridges? Will be a medium palma contour. currently in 22-250, and I don't need another '250.
Psycodog, your tikka is a 223? looks great. It's a shooter. 52 grain Berger and some CFE223.
I saw a picture on the internet Tikka, 595 Continental. Barrel was 30-06. It appeared to be stock. the barrel was a factory Tikka HB, '06. I guess it would function if cartridges loaded single. Appears to be oddity or puttogether Tikka. I am 90% sure the receiver had m595 original markings. Any thoughts appreciated. https://www.emma-rifles.co.uk/product/tikka-m595-bolt-action-30-06-rifle/NICE!! From the looks of it, you bought a Master Continental. A very fine gun and a steal at $750! Have fun with that Woodpecker!View attachment 1338122
Yes. They were called the Continental Long Range. I know they were made in 25-06, 7mm Mag, 270, and maybe others? I have one in a 25-06 heavy and sadly, have never shot it.Did they make the m695 in a heavy barrel varmint version?
