Thunderbeast suppressor mounting

Never had a suppressor before. Thinking about one for long range hunting rifle so I enjoy it more. 300 Norma. I’m looking at the magnus. Not RR. Any recomendations on mount type?

I run the Area 419 Hellfire Match mounting system and can switch between brake and suppressor with no noticeable POI change. It is in the HUB configuration when you order and then add the adapter. I have been running this on a Dead Air Nomad Ti as well as the TBAC Magnus K.

I do not have a Thunderbeast suppressor, but since I do swap suppressors around, I want the same interface. I use the DA Xeno on everything. I try to never think of how many barrel or suppressor mounts I have.

I know how well my boltactions shot without a suppressor and with a suppressor. The Xeno stuff has never decreased accuracy and depending on the gun or load, has slightly improved accuracy. I don't really think the suppressor itself increases accuracy, but since the rifles are so much nicer to shoot and maybe the extra weight on the muzzle may acts like a tuner.

I have 4 TB cans. I use the CB mount on all the 30 caliber cans and the BA mount on my 338 caliber cans.
I honestly didn't know there were other options but the CB brakes do work moderately well without the can.
The cans attach quick and I have never had one come loose while hunting.

I use direct thread. Ultra 7. No issues . Went to 1-1/4” straight barrels so there is more shoulder to lock up on. Stays tight . With HV contour it would come loose sometimes. Have to check it.

I thought of that after the fact. My barrel just cam in after a year wait. 1” at the muzzle. Thinking of going with the sr mount

Direct thread. Put it on and tighten it, then take some Whiteout and put a mark on the barrel and the suppressor. In a glance you can tell it it has loosened. I have found quick attaches to be picky sometimes and I even had the Silencerco ASR loosen - when I shot a deer it had dropped on those coarse threads enough that it bored a hole through the endcap and spun off into some broomgrass. Fortunately all I had to do was replace the endcap. I also have a Rugged that can be a PITA also. If I am investing the time and money into a hunt, I want to lessen any probability that I might have something ruin that hung.

I have a regular Magnus and a couple of the RRs. I like the CB non-timed brakes because I have several rifles with different thread pitches. I use red locktite on the brakes, and have never had a can loosen up…I think the angled collar adds some friction to the fit. I also don’t think I have ever shot a rifle with just the CB brake, so I have no idea how effective they are.
