Thoughts on savages new bolt pistol

I have Savages because I am DIY. So, for a grand I can buy a savage left hand action, a barrel and butcher a thumbhole stock. That thing is butt ugly and who wants a magazine on a handgun?

AND, shooting accurately with a handgun is a long learning curve.

Yeah, I agree. The price will have to come down to a realistic level if they want to sell these but compared to the Christensen Arms Modern precision bolt action pistol (2300$)this is a bargain ; )

I think the idea is for guys to use braces and suppressors to get around having a SBR. Not really to have a specialty pistol. Personally I like the XP-100

The new CZ Trail looks like that style of set-up (SBR). Although it's only made in 223, 7.62 x 39.
