Thorro Clean bore cleaning system

Just tried Thorro Clean bore cleaning system on a ( clean bore ) . Been using kG carbon remover & Butch's bore shine , so I know my barrel is clean ,right? My test used the plastic jig & nylon brush so as no brass or bronze contamination to soil my test. Uh, following the instructions it looked like black mud came out, also lots of blue . I did a second cleaning to see if the solution did the same thing . Nothing , patches came out clean. So I think this stuff does what it says. I sometimes spend an hour cleaning my barrel, this stuff cut it down to 5 mins. Barrel looks like a mirror. We have a match this weekend , hope this improves my score. Not going to scrape my other cleaning agents just yet. But will give Thorro Clean the 2 thumbs up

I started using Thoroclean a year or so ago and really like the system but don't like the packaging. I have evolved my regimen a little to start with 3 patches of Boretech C4, followed by the Thoroclean cream on a nylon brush, then a dry patch followed by 2 or 3 patches of C4, then a couple patches of Wipe Out to check for residual copper. This may sound like a lot of cleaning but it goes pretty quick. Anymore I'm more interested in an efficient method to clean my rifles after a day in the prairie dog towns and it has worked well for that. Also, when breaking in a few new barrels I used this system and they broke in very quickly and had almost no coppering after that. After cleaning with this system a few times the patch feels silky smooth going down the bore. I will say that the last bottle of ThoroClean I got seemed thinner and wanted to seperate so that I had to shake it up each time I used it, don't remember having that problem with the 1st bottle or two.

If, as has been rumored, the stuff is thinned out Iosso, you'd expect black patches coming out. I wouldn't, however, expect clean patches on a reapplication.

Might have to give it a try. Thanks for posting your experience.
