Looking for opinions on the above rifle, how it groups, ammo pickiness, likea, dislikes, that sorta thing. All info is appreciated I've owned a few 10/22s in the past but a few of the features on this one are intriguing

There are others in the same price with better records.
I had a second or third year production, ammo picky and still not as good as other rigs.

I bought one about 6 months ago if I recall, mainly because I wanted to check out the last shot bolt hold open feature. It has functioned flawlessly with 4 or 5 kinds of ammo I've ran thru it. The bolt hold open feature works great. It also can be used with 10/22 magazines, but those will not activate the hold open bolt catch.

I designed and patented a hold open method using a standard 10/22 magazine about 20 years ago that used a similar method as TC's magazine, hence my interest in it.

Can't say that I'm crazy about the Magpull style stock. The peep sight is nice for my old eyes, and the green front sight is OK. Overall fit and finish is nicer than the 10/22,
with a nice milled receiver, instead of a casting. Built in scope rail is nice too, though I'm just a plinker, and use open sights for most things.

10/22 various styles and configurations. About any up grade you want to do. Check out rimfire central. I got PO’d and sold a large majority of my rimfire stuff when the craze went on a few years ago, so am out of the loop. Prices are reasonable again, but I have resisted the urge as I switched over to a few small center fires.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but I thought this rifle only came out within the last year? When was the 2nd or 3rd year of production?

My bad folks, I had one of the TC Benchmarks.

So, maybe the TCR isn't really "ammo picky" and is "as good as other rigs".
You do realize that most who purchase a Ruger 10/22 throw most of it in a scrap pile and replace with parts from a myriad of aftermarket suppliers? Actually, the only part of the 10/22 I own that is still Ruger is the receiver. Barrel, stock, bolt, trigger group, etc all now Kidd parts.
The TCR22 is an almost exact copy of the Ruger 10/22. It came right on the heels of the Ruger patent expiring if I remember correctly. I am told by insiders that most(only to hedge the bets) parts made for a Ruger 10/22 will plug and play with the TCR. That includes the stock, which is a good thing because the Magpul stock on the TCR is UGLY! Plus the factory sights are improved and all TCR22 rifles have a threaded muzzle for your favorite suppressor.
Here's a link to a review of the TCR:

Milled receiver with integrated rail. Bolt machined not cast. The TC sounds like they fixed all the problems, that most 10/22 owners do, just straight out the box. Nice one TC.
