What bases and rings do you guts like for the contender?

I like the Tsob picatinny from SSK they are under $40. Then for rings, Nightforce ultra lites, waren Mtn Tac., or Seekins.

I like a Wever rail and Signature Z rings from Burris. Keeps that scope free of scratches.

That"s what I use on all of them.

I did a few for my BIL and used a steel base that had three rings on it and installed a Burris EER 2 to 7 scope. When it was stolen the insurance found him a new base and rings and scope, but the new Burris had a reticle lock that interfered with the base and I had to grind a little notch. They were both well built units but I didn't see the need for the third ring. Super 14 in 35 Remington, kind of a hand full as I recall.

Warne Steel base Warne Maxima and rings, Or DNZ one piece base and rings coming full circle leaning on the DNZ again, Real hard to find but I like them not the look just the functionality
