Third Gen. Sh. Supply — Email Issue but Positive Reports

So, tried logging in several days ago to place an order. Says my password isn't right and to click to have a password reset sent to my email. So I did, several times. No response email. I called yesterday, the guy I talked to said he sent me the email as we spoke. As of today, still no email. Of any type. So I placed my order as a guest. Got the order # and a message that the confirmation and payment info would be sent via email. Guess what, still crickets.

This is not the first time I've ordered there, but i'm getting a really bad vibe. I know they're probably busy, but so is everyone and to be lied to just chaps my ^$$.

Anyone else have the same experience.
Al

I have used them and always received great service from them. Sounds more like an E-mail problem. Most delivery systems such as usps, ups, & fed ex Are all experiencing delays due to the covid19 and severe weather in certain areas of the country. Be patient I'm sure you'll get what you ordered.

I live 20 miles from them and I too have experienced the same login issues. I order as a guest but I drive over and pick up my order. I've bought several firearms from them and used them as a transfer shop as well. They are gtg. I think where they fall short is their web site and their IT support.

The year before last, 3rdgenss had good deals on powder, shipped, and I had a good experience with them. Last March they had an unblieveable sale on .224" Nosler and Hornady projectiles. I had a great experience with them then too. Previously, they might have been moving less volume overall than lately, so maybe their servers are struggling to keep up.

OK, good to know.

Like I said, this wasn't my first time ordering there and nothing like this had ever happened before. Just not getting any email contact when the website stated several times that password reset info was sent and then actually talking to someone there who said they sent an email (still waiting on that one), got my concerns going.

I've ordered from the a couple times but that was about 5 to 7 years ago. Things went well on those orders, but I tried to order from them the other day... had all my stuff filled in, then tried to pay and it kept getting an error so I gave up and looked elsewhere.... where the card I used at 3rd gen worked just fine.

As most have said, an inet problem. Imention to a Ram dealer that part of their web site wasn't work8ng for me. Also probs logging in to some of my "regulars" on occasion.
3rd Gen sent me some primers in Jan I back ordered in Nov.
They are top drawer imo and experience.

I just placed an order with them last week. When I tried to login this week for a status, same thing - kept telling me my login was invalid. I tried to reset my password and nothing. I finally called, got my password reset email, reset my password, logged in, logged out and now can't sign back in.
Having said all that, my order is on the way. I have bought from them before and have faith in them.

I live about 10 miles from Gene Sears Shooters Supply now known as Third Generation and have spent many thousands of dollars with them in the last 40 plus years and never had an issue and all the folks there are top notch people.

They have been having some server issues and I sometimes have trouble logging in. They are located in El Reno OK and depending on weather whether it's excessively strong wind storms, ice storms or humongous thunder storms the power grid takes a beating. Wide open plains don't give much protection to power lines.

if you are having problems with the interwebz just call em and you will be well satisfied

As others have said, check your junk or spam folder. That is most likely where those emails are going. As for those who are having issues logging in, are you using a standard browser or one like DuckDuckGo? When my wife started using DuckDuckGo, she started having a lot of problems logging in to different sites.

I just started using Duck Duck Go. Sites that you log into use cookies to recognize you as logged. Since DDG does not accept cookies, problems arise. Go to settings and click "Fireproof Sites". List the sites you log into or want to accept cookies from and maybe it will help.

I use Dissenter for a browser, courtesy of GAB.com. They came well recommended by a conservative website I favor. I've also used Duck Duck Go for a search engine, for several years now. Wasn't aware they also had a web browser option.

And yes, I checked the spam & blocked folders. I usually check those 4-6 times a day & always wind up deleting and blocking a couple dozen unwanted emails. But I do look those over before deletion. Their emails were NEVER received. I've not had any problems with any other emails, that I've noticed.

Based on all the positive reports, I did replace my order & feel comfortable about it.

I have been using DDG through my Firefox browser for years and no trouble. Are you using DDG with Explorer?
