The Virginia Attorney General

You're absolutely correct 6brmrshtr, I completely agree with your list, he is responsible for a lot more also. 8)
He's also responsible for being the greatest and most successful gun, ammo, suppressor, loading components and NRA membership salesperson in history ;D

I'll give our GOP credit also. They defeated a number of gun restriction bills, and with their fear mongering tactics, helped to raise the number of CCW permits to an all time high.

Like some others I'm sure HE thinks he's the greatest everything.

I live in VA and travel to NC and SC. I wish all the states would keep their concealed carry reciprocity agreement. By dropping it, The Anti - gun get want to happen. If this works, it will spread everywhere. The state law makes will meet in Jan. Hope they will drop a hammer on this. My daughter lives in SC, I am going to get a permit for SC.

Ask the firearms and ammo industry if they think he's the greatest. He helped to make them very wealthy ;) And when Hillary takes over the reins, she'll be the new sales manager :-[

Utah still offers non resident carry permits, and for some reason, VA retained reciprocity with Utah, so it is worthwhile to obtain a Utah non resident permit if planning to travel through VA. It might also be worth the trouble for VA permit holders, since that Utah permit will be good in most Southern States as VA loses reciprocity with most of the other States.

Is there a reason you don't want to leave Virginia law up to Virginians?

How about because it affects everyone that has a CCW that could travel to or thru Virginia......I see Vermont isn't on the list...oh yeah, you don't need a CCW there.

Wow. That's incredible. Incredibly STUPID.

Under the law you could only buy enough ammunition, per every 90 days, to load your firearm to capacity twice.

For my 357 revolver, that means I would be able to purchase only 12 rounds every 90 days, or 48 rounds per year.

Since I normally buy 50-round boxes, I guess that means I'd have to wait two years to buy a box (since 50 rounds is over the 48-rounds-per-year limit)?

The Democrats are doing all the damage they can before they are all voted out. But I'm hoping if TRUMP OR CRUZ get in the honest people will be able to pull them selves back out of Hell! If OBAMA does finally leave, watch who he pardon's on his way out. Sorry this could turn into a blood bath.

Unfortunately, I think it will turn into a blood bath, and I think that is his intent.

The only thing useful in this conversation to me is how one individual in the conversation is obviously a liberal democrat and continues to rail against others in a civil discussion. How in the world can you be a gun owner and love the sport and support the country, yet want to support this administration! I certainly didn't like all of George Bush's policy's,, but I never questioned who's side he was on! This guy leaves no doubt that he is not on the side of the constitution, which if you remember correctly he has sworn twice to uphold and defend!

Virginia certainly isn't the first, nor the only state to do that. How many states actually recognize CCW permits from each and every state in our country?

Really, you want somebody (who you likely won't/shouldn't trust) to do YOUR research ? :o

I've done the research, and can't rely on it to be currently accurate. Laws in every state are forever changing. The question was asked, simply to show that the state of Virginia isn't the "lone ranger" in this, but rather, the latest addition.

JRS is correct in this. There are states that have no reciprocity at all when it comes to CCW's. That is reserved for each State. My concern and what should be stated here is that States even have this 'right' to deny recognition. Under the Supremacy Clause, the Fed trumps the States. If my State has to honor your States Drivers License, Marriage License. Then why not going the other way and my "CCW License"? IF a State can pick and choose on the one hand, why not on all laws from outside it's borders?
