"The Ultimate"
A one of a kind Ultimate long range benchrest match.
This idea has been rolling around inside my head for over 5 years, its time to do something about it.
I have reached out to several long range bench shooters from 1000yds and 600, that i have the upmost respect for, to gather more ideas and improve on my ideas.
At this time , we are planning on this being a annual event, situated right in the middle of the country. The first one will be limited to under 100 shooters, to be decided later.
This will be a week full of hanging and catching up with friends, making new ones, tuning guns and several matchs, lots of rds downrange.
I do not plan on soliciting for prizes , as I feel that is way overdone and somewhat of a burden on our many great companys. With that said we will not turn down any help offered from anyone of the many sponsers that have been so gracious to our place in the past.
There will be cash payouts, plaques for the big dogs, relay wins, daily agg wins, 8 target aggs at 1000, 8 target aggs at 600 and and a 16 target combined agg of the two yardages, "The Ultimate Agg"
The last match of the week will be a stand alone winner take all, we will take the top 14 from the "The Ultimate Agg" to a sudden death format, we have 2 different ones in mind, yet to be decided.
The week would look something like this(nothing is set in stone yet)
Monday, tuning
Tuesday, tuning, (possible warm up fun match)
Wednesday, tuning
Thursday, 600yds, 1000yds 600yds
Friday, 1000yds, 600yds, 1000yds
Saturday 600yds 1000yds after a quick look at the results a sudden death showdown of the top 14.
This will be a one gun match, start to finish.
Under 22 pounds , to allow any f-classers the chance to compete.
Bipods will be allowed as well to let Precision Rifle series guys compete
There will be no electronic equipment on the bench.
All targets will be 5 shot groups shot on IBS long range targets.
