The "Transition"!

That octagon was cut on Haas CNC mill I see that, but as a former machinist I’m curious as what type of cutter was used. Either an end mill, single point fly, or indexable clam shell. Also would like to know how it was supported in the lengths middle. I’m also assuming the each facet was cut in multiple passes.
 
That stock would take some serious getting used to...sorry! o_O
Sometimes getting old takes some serious getting use to. :eek: When you get old, your eyes arn't what they use to be so it's a wash. AND, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, no matter how good/bad your eyes are. :D
And with a stock like that, at least SOMEONE will come over talk to you. ;)
