The Rules of Highpower

A good read . And very applicable to the entire sport . Basically saying ; If you always try to do the "Right" thing , you'll never break any of the "Rules".

I stole this several years ago from a bicycle forum and modified it for Highpower. This OP stole it from me.
I stole it fair and square first which makes me a victim of this most recent theft.

Dishonor among thieves? ;)

That should be Rule#25 - do not steal the thread that someone else stole previously and then re-post it.

I come from a much older generation.
In the ‘60’s, we wore OG Fatigues while on duty in Post. If we went into town off duty, we were not allowed to wear Fatigues off post, you either dressed in formal Kakis, Dress Greens, or civilian.

It surprised me in later years to see Soldiers in town, off duty, wearing the newer Camo work cloths. I did not realize that the rules had changed and these were allowed as off duty off base dress.

I guess it would make sense for an active military shooter to be dressed in his Camo at a Match.

Just between you and me, I think a guy my age would look a little silly in Camo..
I'm told by a close friend who's son is in the UK forces, that it's civvy only off base, since the murder of Bandsman Rigby. Mind you, the unit he's in now don't seem to have a uniform.

I’m 71. Was active duty Marine, now a life time inactive duty Marine, and a lifelong outdoorsman and shooter .75% of my time I wear some form of Camo, even a church dress polo shirt in real tree Camo ,however my wife says it’s wrong to wear two different patterns at the same time or to wear a Camo shirt with camo pants while in town ,on casual business or to the doctors etc. Ex. A Camo T shirt with blue jeans or solid color sweats is acceptable ,however one should never wear real tree top and any style Camo pants during such activities , but, while engaging in field activities all Camo top and bottom Is absolutely acceptable, patterns should always match however, …there are rules ,you know.. when I was single i did bend them at times, being ignorant of dress rules I would wear woodland Camo pants with real tree top while hunting. Remember the standard dress rule Never wear a pattern with a pattern.
Seriously, there is seldom I won’t have some bit of Camo or OD on my daily dress ,it’s what I am ,loosen up man, have some fun in life it’s OK. If you don’t ,that’s ok too.

In the USMC it has always been a strict rule, the quickest way to get picked up off base is stop somewhere in utilities. My friend got nabbed just letting me off his motorcycle in
J’ ville ,I was in civvies ,he ,still in utilities.
