The Harrell's

I couldn't believe it, I called Harrell's Precision today to buy a fl sizing die and talked to Lenwood I believe, and as a reloading newb I had a lot of questions and none of the equipment to properly send him a case that had been fired 3 times. So he said that he was going to send me a die that he thinks would be close to start with and that he would swap me for the correct one when I found out what I needed. The unbelievable part is that since I have a no turn neck he is going to have to bore out the test die that I will be sending back and also I don't have to pay until I get the invoice. What great people! After dealing with that kind of service I am going to look for the smaller buisiness's and quit buying from places like Mid-way even if it cost more. You can't hardly put a price on service like that. Thanks Harrell's, SPM

You'll come across a lot of people like that I've found. Fortunately, I haven't gotten so used to it that I take it for granted.

The first time I talked to Ken Markle,K&M), I ordered a couple hundred bucks worth of stuff. All he said was "I'm out in the shop, now, so just give me your address and I'll throw an invoice in the box."

The good news is that it's not just the small businesses. Even some of the bigger outfits can really surprise you.

Ken Markle and Robert Whitley both are true examples of this kind of service. As mentioned though, we need to get payment to these guys ASAP after finding out what the price is going to be.
If we do that, then there will never be a problem with that type of "open payment" to the shooters. Guys like this are hard to find. Let's take care of what they offer. Bill

Lynwood and Walter Harrell are as good as they come but they aren't the only ones that treat you like family. I could rattle off a long list and forget one person and be crucified for forgetting one. The list is long. Two Harrell stories: When the Harrell brothers were relatively new to the benchrest scene, they displayed a powder measure at Kelbly's at Super Shoot along side of a Jones and a Bruno. The Harrell measure disappeared. Was Lynwood angry? No! He said he was proud someone took his when they could have taken the Jones. Years later I asked him if he had ever been burned with his open credit policy. He said only once and that was when a person in Finland didn't pay for a measure. I told Lynwood, I'd catch a plane to Finland and hunt the guy down. The following year, Lynwood saw me at the Super Shoot and said that the Finn had sent his money to him saying it had slipped his mind. The Harrells like so many aren't only easy to deal with, they make fine products.

Speaking to either one of those guys is worth the price of a phone call alone.
All the FL dies I have from them are for use with a bushing, and I didn't know they made any other kind ...... I guess you learn something new every day..

i hope these guys double there turnover this year and for more years to come, this is the way to treat customers.Great stuff Harrells,Im sold on you guys and youll be getting my businness from now on.

The harrells are awesome and it is great dealing with them. They are however not the Only ones that are like that for dealing with, we in the benchrest world are truely lucky to have gentlemen like them. A few others that stand out like that are Mike Lucas, Ken Markle,KandM), Neil Jones, Dave Dohrman, and of coarse, Sinclair is always on target with the order. The orders have always been right, and leave the shop in a very timely fashion.

Many of these guys have contributed to the Postal matches, Benchrest Schools, and local matches in the past as well. It's a good gesture on their part and a nice way to advertise and allow us to get the word out about their products.
