I am embarrassed to ask for help on a Harrell's die. I have used his dies since the old Vari-Base die in the 90s. In the past, I always sent three fired cases and let him select the best fit. His dies always worked with minimal sizing for good fit and long brass life.
I have a new 6BR reamer and am not sure which die I need. Here is my confusion. My B1 die sizes the base to 0.469" and my B2 die sizes the base to .470." The B1 sizes my no turn neck varmint rifle brass to perfection. Maybe I am wrong but I always assumed the larger number sized the base more than the smaller number. I called Harrell's yesterday, left a message, and have not heard back.
My brass is clicking in my Long Range 6BR sized with the B2 die and I am considering ordering a B3.
Can anyone advise me on Harrell's numbering system on his dies?
Thanks in advance.
