the ethics of selling a POS scope

having seen this topic many times; " my newish ------scope won't hold zero. sent back often to factory. not fixed and got run around. will sell (get rid of it)." this is stinkin thinkin and i hate it. >:(

look you got taken. so is it ethical to pass your misery to another? do you FEEL good about doing so? would you like it to be done to you? these are our brothers. what father would give his child a snake when asked for a loaf of bread?

That's why i only buy used Leupold's over the internet...i know that Leupold stands behind every scope...till it's no more..this whole thing is built on trust and selling someone a known POS tears at the fabric that we deal by

Having been on the receiving end of a deal exactly like you state, yeah, it sucks out loud. If someone gets a POS, deal with it! Don't sell your problem to someone else! How would you like it if you were paid in fake 20's? Not so funny now is it.

I still have a wonderful POS scope I paid $250 for that won't hold zero from home to the range if anyone wants it. Oh, I bought it "New in box" as well. Trust me, it ain't new.

What is it and how much do you want for it? I actually enjoy tinkering with these things. Some have worked out for me and some haven't.

It's some foreign POS with a "Weaver" sticker slapped on the side. I honestly have no idea what it is. Honestly, I wouldn't feel right even giving it away. Basically, I got scammed. It did come in a nice weaver box though. I should have known something was up when I sent the money to a PO box, and the scope showed up without a return address. I know I probably look like an idiot for even admitting this, but what can I do. I made a mistake.

Anyway, trust me that you don't want it. It's not worth your time. If I thought for a second it would be useful I would give it to you. I ripped it off the gun (tried it just to see if it was of any use at all) and threw it into the bed of my truck from about 100 feet away, so it's not so pretty anymore.
