The Century Club -- Acknowledging Special Site Contributors

OK, belated donation just confirmed.

I spend a lot of time here either looking for info or trying to help others find what they're here for if I can.

Maybe C'Club members could be honored with a slightly different-color 'contributor' icon?

As red's already what's used for Admin's icon, I was thinking maybe green instead of the yellow used now.

Currently the blue "Site Sponsor" banners are reserved for active advertisers. But the idea of having a special banner/color for Century Club members has merit.

With the establishment of such a donor category, to my mind a tasteful recognition of those who 'step up to the call' seems in keeping with similar in place for advertisers.

I don't think there should be restricted access to people less fortunate or on fixed income. I do think that if you are not a site contributor and you sell or buy something in the market place, you should have to pay a $20 a year fee to take advantage of this great resource.

We have a new Century Club member, John F., aka Mudcat. Thanks for help with the site.

We have talked to quite a few Forum members, both in person (at events), and via the internet. There seems to be a consensus of opinion that is reasonable to charge a modest fee for selling privileges after the first three or four free ads. Consider this -- if you sell a $3000.00 rifle on Gunbroker.com the fees will exceed $50 for that one sale.
