I am retiring a .243W chambered barrel on a 40X action that I used while trying to hit a 1000yd and further PD. The .243W required trimming after virtually every firing. Enough of that. This will be for 105-107gr bullets, unless someone convinces me to build for Tubbs new polymer tip 117’s. I want to try a .243AI, a .244, or a .244AI. Lapua cases, as you know, are available for the .243 AI, but not the .244. This will be at least a 28†barrel with a brake. Which would you all build?
Thanks for any suggestions.
