Picked up a used S-3 a while back . One of the Lens Caps had a tear in it ( which I knew as that was Posted in the Ad ) . Anyway , I asked Sightron what the Cost would be . Guess what ? They just sent me a new one . Excellent Service as far as I'm concerned . I have always had great Service from Leupold . Last year I picked up a Leupold which had a loose circular rubber gasket around the edge of the Eyepiece . I called and asked about the Cost of replacing it . Can't remember the exact amount , but it was over $20 so I just used glue . Not the old Leupold I remembered .

Agree 100%. Always nice to see a manufacturer recognized in a positive way on the forum!!! I currently have an SIII LR 8-32 back for warranty work. Checking their site, it appears it probably got caught up in the Covid-19 restrictions.

Mine made it back home. They fixed the problem with the side focus being impossibly stiff to move. Cleaned the lens (which were pretty clean to start with), re centered the reticle and put a decent set of lens covers on it. They rec'd it on March 9, and I rec'd it back on April 2. Don't know how much the Co-vid19 might have affected things. I'm happy.

what did they say was the issue with the side parallax? I have a the same scope but 6-24 mag I have the same issue

The warranty order returned with the scope just said "We have repaired the side focus".

I bought this scope used, so I don't know the history. I have other SIII 832 scopes in service and none were like this one. It is just fine now, so clearly there was something amiss.

The cost to do business with Leupold in their custom shop is ridiculous. I think after doing the math figured that their cost went up 30% since I had work done a couple years before that.

I hear the custom shop at Leupold is shut down, and they don't know if they will even start it back up again...... jim
