Some time back I requested a 22 rimfire takeoff barrel.
I was publicly flogged by some and defended by others.
Having been flogged by pros and brought short of casteration these naysaers fell shot of the bar.
The first barrel offered next day was a Cooper with a brick fired. As
you might assume it was out of my budget but I had to have it. And did.
It now sits in a MOA receiver, Cooper threads fitting MOA receiver, too long but i'm not cutting.
Receiver holds Volquartsen comp bolt,Ruger trigger with Kidd sear kit, no takeup and 1/8 reset. #1to #1 1/2, Archangel stock, Weaver with reticle marking 25,50,75,100,and 125 yds.
All fired in one run at all distance time score only.
My best time for all 22 targets was 59 seconds raw time including 2 mag changes. Limited to 10 round mags.Hit on 125 yard bonus cow bell netted 39 seconds total time.
Chew on that naysaer.
Being too lazy or thougthtless I did not take the wanted thread down.
Last week a gentelman asked if I wanted a RPR rimfire barrel free!!!!
So I agreed to pay 25 bucks postage.
The barrel arrived today and seems unfired.
Its going on a 17 MACH II.
Chew on that naysaer.
Others: Thanks for kind words.
Never had but one bad deal and survived that.
Excellent people on this forum to deal with.
