Thank You, KMart

I just wanted to give thanks where a large thank you is due.

A week or two ago, I asked if anyone had a 6XC go gauge for sale. KMart responded, said he had one and would mail it to me. All I had to do was mail it back after using it. Well, I told him I wouldn't be needing it until I got back to OH where I have a friend with the Savage tools. I also didn't have the barrel yet. Ken (KMart) offered to headspace the barrel after I received it.
Well, I received the barrel a couple days ago and Ken even offered to travel from Houston to Rockport (over 200 miles) to help me install the new barrel.
Ken arrived today and the new 6XC barrel is now on my 12 BVSS.
WHAT A GUY!! Thank you, Ken.

Great POST NOMAD!! Love to hear stories like this.

I had a situation once where I needed some special work on one of my guns. Couldn't figure out where to turn so I sent an e-mail to PREACHER asking if he could give some guidance. His response was immediate and simply said, send the gun to me. Sent the gun off to N.Y. and a week or so later the gun came back all fixed.

It is truly heart warming to hear that there are other people like Bruce on this site.

Thanks for sharing.

Glad to hear this! Many things in our lives seem to aggravate, worry and stress us out! Shooting sports, & hunting has always relieved that for me. Starting my 3rd year in comp. shooting. I'm either trying to help someone out anyway I can, or someone is going out of there way to help me.

Thanks for posting! Always good to read stories like this! With all the other bickering ppl do about there life. I often tell ppl you need to come shoot with me and forget those worries for a few hours! You'll be a happier person!! ;)

That is my friend Ken who I have been shooting with for years. What he has done for you he has done for many of his friends and fellow shooters. I can't count the number of times he has done similar things for me.

Glad to have helped. I hope the rifle shoots well. At least I didn't get home with any extra parts!

He’s also safety director at our range, and a good one too. As others said, he will help you any way he can, but if you do something dangerous and don’t follow the rules, he’ll make you leave, as it should be. @KMart thanks for helping keep us safe today as you always do.

That is above and beyond , but I'm not surprised . Southerners are the backbone of this country , honest , hardworking and honorable people . Was a honor to have served with them . We had each other's back. I wish you the best Kmart , job well done .

Chris

Haha Me Too...
I just was suprised at the date of the OP.

Me too. It doesn't seem that was 9 years ago.. Bill was one of our "Winter Texans" and a regular poster here. Last track of him that I had, was that he was having some health problems. It has been a couple of years since he has posted and I hope he is doing well.
Added:
Just to clear up things a little, I didn't just drop everything and go down there. I had been retired for a few years and the trip down there gave my wife and I a chance to meet some new folks, see how the countryside had changed etc. I had plenty of time, so why not do a road trip? Also, got to stop in East Bernard and get some good Bohemian Kolaches, beef jerky, and sausage at Vincek's Meat Market.

Got to mention that he said something about Kolaches and food, Ken's the only one I know that can
smell Bar-B-Que 150 miles away and get there while it's still hot. Hope your doing well my friend.

A man has to have his priorities.
Kmart you have helped way more people than 1 man with a Savage. Thank you for showing that truly good people still exist and will put in that extra effort to help. "you made my day'

Dan the Pirate touches way more lives than I do. His work seeing that the young school kids in his area have the needed school supplies is a labor of love.
As others have said in posts on this site, there are a lot of good people here.
