This is by far one of the most informative discussions I've encountered so far on cartridge prep. Some of you guys are into the prep method farther than I ever expect to be, but gets me much farther down the road than my knowledge to date has taken me.
I've found myself having to get more deeply into shoulder bumping than ever before since fresh 6 PPC brass has become unobtanium and caused me to buy "once fired brass" that was fired in an unknown chamber. I'm having to rebuild every cartridge to fit in my chamber, and this discussion has been an immense help.

Why would anyone with a 6PPC fire cases once and sell them? Cases are expensive now adays. Maybe they were fired 10 times you don't really know.

I certainly agree with that, which is why I inspect, inspect, and inspect each one before doing anything with it. But I do have to say that I've never been burned yet on this site~!

I'm very interested in helping all forum members with my knowledge in physics, mathematics, testing, and experience in LR shooting!!! I'm have no experience in LR target competition!!! But I push LR Hunting to the limits with my over the counter target/varmint rifles after tuning them and use LR target principle for load development and testing!! But, though practicing at various ranges with each rifle and load, I know it's limits for Ethical Humane one shot, cold barrel kills! Been using Bench Rest principles for over 45 years!!

Here is a heart breaker!!! I can no longer shoot a high power, heavy bullet to caliber rifle because I have MAC DEGEN in my right eye (scope eye)!! I caught in time with the cavity still being liquid!!! The swelling has diminished from 7 injections!! Number 8 occurred Wednesday!!! Hopefully, I can finishing load development of my BROWNING X-BOLT LR MAX (1 in 7, Heavy contour, 26" fluted barrel with a Muzzle Hawg break) in 6.5PRC which stopped after September 9, 2024 (my last day at the range)! See POST #36!!! My last range data recordings!! I've been using my designed testing to find the loads for full fire forming, finding the compression zone, and the start of destructive forming!!! This limits are unique for every rifle!!! Hopefully, by fall, I can starting shooting again and see a clear image of the target and reticles through the scope!!!

Even if I can never shoot again, I'm still going to help the forum members in achieving higher goals!!! Please don't feel sorry for me!!! I have accepted the worse, and will be thankful to God for the Best!!!

And hey you 2 Gold Members, are you trying to sucker me into going Gold!!!
I already planned on gold, just have to wait till an expensive event is over in late June!!!
