Teslong borescope Flexible or Rigid?

I don't know which to buy. I like that the flexible is 36" long but I think the ridged might work better. I will mostly be using on a rimfire .22lr. Your thoughts? I did a search and found many threads but nothing on this subject. Thanks,

A guy had a flex at the range. He was trying to show me his bore. I couldn't get past the terrible image compared to my ridged. May have been his app/phone, idk
I use a hollow insert bore guide with it in all my rifles. Great picture on it.
I'm happy with the ridged wand.

By the way, I’m going with the one that has it’s own screen, don’t want to bother with a phone or laptop. Thanks again

I saw that post but it mostly compares Mac or PC on iPhone and Android. I’m really only concerned about flex or ridged. I’m thinking ridged based on the first two replies. Thanks
I have both the flex and rigid in both handgun and rifle lengths. There are times that the flex is more convenient (as in taking to a gun shop to look at used rifles), but for normal bench use I think the rigid is a better choice. Do consider purchasing the extra mirror kit for bores much larger than 6mm. Much better view on the larger bores.

What he said. Rigid & maybe the red marked mirror will tone down the brightness/glare a bit.

I’m a fan of the Bluetooth version with the flex shaft. plenty of length to check the whole barrel out without having to go thru the muzzle. Also no cable to get knotted up from rotating too many times. As far as picture quality goes I think they would be equal as long as the mirror is adjusted correctly. I havn’t used my rigid Lyman camera setup after purchasing the Teslong flex shaft.

I've got the flexible with its own screen. The image isn't great. Wish I'd got the rigid as the flexible is a pia when rotating the thing.

Rigid, and get the one with the screen.

I have the flex version with wifi. It works, but the app is terrible, and it's very cumbersome to use.

I have this one. The screen is absolutely awful.
Maybe there’s something wrong with yours. I watched a video by F-class John and he said the screen was “gorgeous “. Anyway, we’ll see.

Edit: I jumped the gun and didn't realize you had the wifi unit. I was referring to the one with it's own screen and with the ridged probe. Sorry

Mine is wired. The screen looks like it's polarized and and one of the panels is turned around or something.

I have the flexible model; running it on an old Samsung Galaxy Tab (something like an 8" screen) the pic is better (though I think effectively smaller) than the Lyman scope I've got.

I built a flat box out of 1/4 plywood and some leftover 3/4" molding (the molding holds the shaft against the bottom of the box, and prevents it from unfurling while coiling.) The tablet I use fits inside the coil of the scope. Makes it handy to transport safely in my rifle box ("safely" as in no damage, not that it's going to injure someone.)

My shop has the $200+ flexible autofocus version. It will not focus in a rifle bore, so I use my own personal Hawkeye to inspect bores at work.

After posting on liking the wireless wi-fi version I tried looking it up and don’t see that version available anymore. Correct me if I’m wrong.
